"Eri Asai ~ The Story of Sleeping Beauty" is inspired by Haruki Murakami's 2007 novel AFTER DARK (used with permission from International Creative Management). It was installed as part of currents2010 June 2010 at El Museo Cultural in Santa Fe, NM. The installation consists of three parts, a projected movie of Eri sleeping and "The TV Movie" playing on a console in the same space. It also includes live performance/presence of the character from the book, The Man With No Face. The TV Movie reflects her brain state as she sleeps her magical sleep.
